The Nigerians Association in Wuhan (NAW) is delighted to invite all Nigerian students, professionals, families, and friends to participate in the 2026 Summer Cultural and Sports Festival, scheduled to take place on Saturday, 25 July 2026, at the beautiful East Lake Greenway Recreation Area in Wuhan.

The annual gathering aims to strengthen unity among Nigerians living in Wuhan while providing an opportunity to celebrate our rich culture, network with fellow members, and welcome newly arrived students into the community.
The event will commence at 10:00 AM with a welcome address from association leaders, followed by an introduction of new members and special guests. Members will have the opportunity to share their experiences of studying and living in China, helping newcomers settle into their new environment.
Throughout the day, participants can enjoy a variety of exciting activities including:
Sports and Recreation
- Five-a-side football matches
- Table tennis competitions
- Basketball shooting challenges
- Tug-of-war contests
- Family-friendly relay races
Cultural Activities
- Nigerian music and dance performances
- Traditional attire showcase
- Cultural exchange sessions with international students
- Nigerian trivia and quiz competitions
Student Support and Networking
A special networking session will be held for newly arrived students. Senior students and professionals will provide guidance on:

- Health insurance and healthcare access

Food and Refreshments
Members are encouraged to bring traditional Nigerian dishes to share during the community lunch. Popular meals such as Jollof Rice, Fried Rice, Moi Moi, Suya, Puff-Puff, and Chin Chin will be available, creating an atmosphere that reminds everyone of home.
Awards and Recognition
The festival will conclude with an awards ceremony recognizing:

- Community volunteers
